HarpWaves is a community-centered harp ensemble founded and directed by Dr. Maryruth Culver. We bring together harpists of all ages and levels to rehearse, perform, and experience the joy of making music together in an encouraging and collaborative environment.

Whether you are a beginner looking for your first ensemble experience or a seasoned harpist wanting artistic community, HarpWaves offers a place to grow and belong.

Rehearsal Information

Location:
The Grand Ritz Theater
301 E Grand Ave
Escondido, CA

Rehearsal Schedule:
First Sunday of each month
12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

Quarterly Sessions:
January–March
April–June
July–September
October–December

Cost: HarpWaves operates on a quarterly basis, allowing harpists flexibility while maintaining consistency and momentum. There is a quarterly fee of $100 to help cover ensemble expenses, music preparation, venue costs, and administrative needs.

What to Expect:

  • Music is provided for all participants
  • All levels of harpists are welcome (lever and pedal)
  • Parts are thoughtfully arranged to support a range of abilities
  • A positive, non-competitive rehearsal atmosphere
  • Artistic growth through collaborative music-making

Harpists should bring:

  • Their own harp
  • A bench
  • A music stand

Performance Opportunities:

HarpWaves performs in a variety of community settings! Previous performances have included:

  • Christmas parade float performance!
  • Community college concert series performance!
  • Local community events!
